Principal Holly Schauer
Dear Ventura Park Families,
At Ventura Park, we nurture all children and make it a priority to provide a safe learning environment. We try our best each day to provide a perfect setting for children to grow and become their best selves. Our focus is to ensure that our students receive quality instruction from a team of teachers who are caring and action-oriented. We are truly honored to have your children here; thank you for sharing them with us.
To quote the often-cited African proverb, “It takes a village to raise a child.” At Ventura Park, we embrace this philosophy and consider all school stakeholders to be a part of our students’ education. Our teachers, assistants, office staff, custodians, kitchen staff, SUN program, Champions program, P3 staff, district support staff, administration, families, volunteers, outside agency partners, and all other community members work together as a team to help our students to grow and experience success. We appreciate your involvement and collaboration!
We encourage all families to demonstrate a positive attitude about education to your children. What we say and do in our daily lives can help them to develop positive attitudes toward school and learning and to build confidence in themselves as learners. Showing our children that we both value education and use it in our daily lives provides them with powerful models and contributes greatly to their success in school. By showing interest in their children’s education, parents and families can spark enthusiasm in them and lead them to a very important understanding-that learning can be enjoyable as well as rewarding and is well worth the effort required.
Thank you for being part of our supportive VP community and for helping us to fulfill our mission of ensuring all students learn, grow and thrive at Ventura Park! Go Vikings!
